USQRisk, an international MGA specialising in alternative risk transfer solutions, has promoted Tony Harrington-Jones and Chris Giuffre to the newly-created positions of director of group operations and chief strategy officer, respectively.
Giuffre and Harrington-Jones previously served as chief operating officers for the US and UK.
Anibal Moreno, CEO of USQRisk, commented, “Chris and Tony have the background, experience and expertise needed to drive USQRisk’s mission to create unique alternative risk transfer solutions.
“Both have been valued members of USQRisk’s leadership and now they will be focusing their abilities on our broader growth strategy.”
As director of global operations, Harrington-Jones will develop and implement a unified operational strategy, providing leadership and management oversight across USQRisk’s global operations, systems, finance and administration functions.
Michael Zipper, President of USQRisk, said, “Having proven his knowledge and abilities by bringing our London office on-line successfully and in the development of critical systems and other operating platforms, Tony is perfectly suited to lead the development of our global operations processes.”
Meanwhile, Giuffre is tasked with leading USQ’s global strategic and innovation initiatives.
As group chief strategy officer, he is tasked with overseeing the firm’s product development, expanding its network of capacity and alternative capital providers, and further building out its infrastructure.
Giuffre said, “At a time when innovation is a critical driver of our industry’s growth, I’m excited to work alongside some of the best and brightest to address rapidly emerging and evolving risks.
“I look forward to building on the team’s already amazing success, expanding our brand and network, and solidifying USQ’s role as a key innovator within the global insurance market.”
