Global data analytics and technology provider, Verisk, has made two new hires within UK sales and business development, as part of the firm’s international insurance market growth strategy.
The company has appointed Robert Stewart as Director of Business Development at Verisk Underwriting Solutions, and Neil Garrett as Sales Director.
In his new role as Director of Business Development, Stewart will play a crucial part in cultivating relationships with existing Verisk clients and prospects.
Verisk confirmed that he will primarily focus on discovering new opportunities and outreach, to ensure continued growth.
Before he joined Verisk, Stewart spent over 37 years of his career dedicated to the insurance market, most significantly as a Senior Partner and Director at Miller Insurance Services LLP.
In his most recent role, he served as a Development Executive at VesselsValue, where he managed to successfully build a global community of insurers dedicated to integrating high-quality maritime data into their support platforms.
Addressing his appointment, Stewart said: “I am excited to be joining Verisk, having moved from a career in broking to the world of risk assessment using data and the many innovative tools that are now at the industry’s disposal. Verisk is the Gold Standard of the analytics market, so I feel privileged to be joining the team at such an important time.”
Meanwhile, Garrett brings a wealth of expertise towards his new role as Sales Director.
His extensive knowledge and deep understanding of claims and underwriting will play a key role in supporting Verisk’s business goals.
He joins the firm after a successful career with Solera | Audatex and Enterprise Rent-A-Car, where he played a huge role in consistently delivering double-digit growth.
