Re/insurance holding company W. R. Berkley Corporation has announced the appointment of Daniel R. Spragg as President of Berkley Select, the company’s professional liability insurance unit.
Spragg has over 30 years’ experience in the specialty insurance and consulting industries, and joins Berkley Select after almost 12 years at A&M Insurance & Risk Management Services, where he was a founding partner.
Previously, Spragg also served as Chief Underwriting Officer at Global Indemnity Group between 2005 and 2006, and at Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS) between 2001 and 2004.
Prior to this, he worked as Assistant Regional Executive for Commercial Lines, Southeast U.S at Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company, and as National Accounts Regional Manager for the Midwest region at AIG.
