W. R. Berkley Corporation has announced the appointment of John Henle as President of Union Standard Insurance Group (Union Standard), effective immediately.
He succeeds B. Keith Mitchell, who has transitioned into a new role as Chairman of Union Standard.
Henle joins Union Standard with more than 20 years of multi-line insurance experience, focused on management and distribution.
He most recently served as head of district operations at a leading U.S. property casualty and financial services group.
Mitchell joined Union Standard in 1998 and was named President in 2014, having focused in particular on the south-central US commercial property casualty insurance market during his time with the company.
As Chairman, he will continue to lend his expertise to Union Standard, while also engaging in other special projects and initiatives for W. R Berkley Corporation.
