W.R. Berkley Corporation has appointed Mark Schuermann as the President of Berkley Entertainment, a Berkley subsidiary. He succeeds Cindy Broschart, who has been named Chair of the business. Both appointments are effective immediately.
Berkley Entertainment is a provider of property and casualty insurance products.

Schuermann joined Berkley Entertainment as Chief Operating Officer in 2021.
Before that, he had an extensive career at a leading diversified media company, where he provided executive leadership across their financial and risk management disciplines.
Broschart was named President of Berkley Entertainment upon its formation in 2004. Under her leadership, the business has grown to become a leading provider of insurance coverage solutions for the entertainment industry.
As chair, she will support the Berkley Entertainment team through the transition and remain a key member of the W. R. Berkley Corporation team.
