Westfield Specialty’s underwriting income hits $87.2m for FY’25

Westfield Specialty, a global specialty insurance carrier, has reported underwriting income of $87.2 million for the full year 2025  (FY’25), with a combined ratio of 93.1%.

westfield specialty logoGross written premium (GWP) hit $1.93 billion at the end of 2025. The insurer explained that these figures mean that results came in considerably ahead of plan. In 2024, Westfield Specialty reported a premium portfolio in excess of $1.5 billion.

The FY’25 GWP split was relatively evenly across regions, with the US business contributing 55% and Westfield Specialty’s International operation, headquartered in London, adding 45%.

The US Specialty businesses produced $948 million in GWP, its surety business reported $105 million in GWP, and International businesses delivered $874 million in GWP in 2025.

This compares to the US business contributing $734 million and the International segment adding $823 million of GWP in 2024.
