Willis, an insurance brokerage and advisory business, has announced a set of senior leadership appointments across North America.
The changes are presented by Willis as part of its plans to support continued growth and to progress the integration of Newfront, a specialty broker known for its use of technology.
Willis attributes these six appointments to its focus on reinforcing regional capability, improving client service and advancing expansion in key markets.
Rod Sockolov has been named Northern California Market Leader and will report to Chuck Shay. Willis states that his responsibilities will include supporting business development, shaping client service delivery, strengthening relationships with carriers and developing talent in the Northern California region.
Willis also confirmed that Linde Hotchkiss has been appointed West Growth Leader. In this role, Willis says Hotchkiss will oversee the implementation of regional growth plans and initiatives aimed at producer development, reporting to Shay.
In Northern California, Willis has appointed Tom Whitenight as Client Partnerships Leader, reporting to Sockolov. Willis indicates that Whitenight will support producers in refining growth strategies while continuing to manage a portfolio of clients in the technology and life sciences sectors.
Brian Hetherington has taken on the role of Strategic Growth Leader for North America. In this capacity, he will work with leadership teams to shape and implement growth initiatives, contribute to mentorship and development programmes, and support revenue generation and insurer relationships. He will report to Paul Graziano.
In addition, Willis has appointed Frannie Epps as Digital Engagement Leader for North America. Willis notes that Epps will be responsible for increasing engagement with its digital tools and capabilities, reporting to Mike Giacobbe.
Willis also announced that Deirdre Finn has been named Head of FINEX Capital Markets. Willis states that she will lead a newly established national team focused on supporting high-growth companies as they move from early-stage, venture-backed phases towards public market readiness. Finn will report to Mike Machin.
“I’m excited to welcome Rod, Linde, Tom, Brian, Frannie and Deirdre into their new roles,” added Pat Donnelly. “Their expertise and collaborative approach will strengthen our presence across key US markets, support our clients and colleagues and be instrumental as we continue to unify our growth strategy and deliver value to our clients.”
WTW has recently completed its acquisition of Newfront, and Willis says this development extends its reach within the US middle market while adding further specialist expertise and technology-enabled capabilities to support growth and client solutions.
