Willis Re, a reinsurance advisory and broking joint venture between Bain Capital (BCIS) and WTW, has appointed William ‘Bill’ Morritt to its broking team.
Morritt has over four decades of experience in the aviation reinsurance industry, having begun his career at Alexander Howden.
Most recently, he served at Guy Carpenter, the reinsurance broking arm of Marsh, and has previously held senior roles at Willis and JLT Re.
Morritt has advised clients on structuring tailored reinsurance solutions, addressing exposures across major airlines, general aviation, manufacturers, satellite and war risks, and retrocession, globally.
He has supported clients through significant loss events, including the World Trade Centre losses, the Russia-Ukraine conflict, and other major international incidents.
Lucy Clarke, Board Member, Willis Re, commented on the appointment, “We are pleased to welcome Bill to Willis Re as part of the continued growth of our broking team.
“His extensive aviation market experience and technical expertise make him a valuable addition to the business. Bill’s client-focused approach further enhances our ability to deliver strong client outcomes.”
He will join Willis Re once he has completed his obligations to his current employer.
