Willis Re hires Credit, Surety and Political Risk expert James Loggie

Willis Re, a reinsurance advisory and broking firm and part of WTW, has announced that James Loggie will join the firm once he’s completed his obligations to his previous employer.

willis re logoLoggie has over 25 years of experience in credit, surety and political risk, having worked extensively with major multi-line insurers, Lloyd’s syndicates, banks, captives, managing general agents, and state-backed insurers.

Most recently, he served as a Managing Director (MD) at Howden Re, the reinsurance broking arm of Howden.

He previously spent over a decade at Willis Re, holding senior roles in the firm’s International Credit, Surety and Political Risk business.

Loggie has developed considerable expertise in working with Export Credit Agencies (ECAs), introducing the Japanese ECA, NEXI, and the Saudi Arabian ECA, Saudi Exim, to the treaty reinsurance market.

He has also contributed significantly to the development of other ECAs, including SINOSURE (China) and EIFO (Denmark), explains Willis Re.

He started his career in 1999 as an Underwriting Assistant at Euler Hermes, eventually serving as Account Manager and Senior Underwriter for Atradius, Senior Underwriter at AIG, and later Vice President at Guy Carpenter.
