Willis Re, a re/insurance advisory and broking firm and part of WTW, has announced the appointment of Rikki Hornett to its team, bringing more than 40 years of industry experience, including over 25 years working in the Bermuda market.
During his time on the island, Hornett played a key role in launching several new re/insurance operations, notably leading the initial Bermuda establishment for Prentis Donegan & Partners, which was later acquired by Price Forbes.
Prior to joining Willis Re, Hornett spent 20 years at reinsurance broker Guy Carpenter, where he focused on structuring reinsurance and retrocession programmes.
His expertise includes catastrophe analytics for traditional, catastrophe bond, and industry-loss-warranty transactions, as well as designing products that expanded solutions for clients. Hornett is recognised for his technical expertise, client-oriented approach, and ability to foster lasting professional relationships.
