Willis Towers Watson appoints Evariste Yeung Head of P&C, North Asia

Global insurance and reinsurance broker, Willis Towers Watson (WTW), has named Evariste Yeung as Head of Property and Casualty (P&C), North Asia, effective 25th September, 2017.

Willis logoYeung is based in Shanghai and reports to Managing Director of WTW’s Insurance Consulting and Technology business in Asia-Pacific, Richard Collis.

In his newly created position, Yeung will be tasked with expanding the company’s North Asia general insurance consulting business, which includes developing new business opportunities and leading a team to deliver outstanding results for the firm’s clients across China, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea and Taiwan.

The appointment supplements the recent hiring of David Maneval, leading Property and Casualty (P&C) for South-east Asia, and Yeung will also be responsible for growing the company’s merger and acquisitions (M&A) practice across the Asia-Pacific region.

Commenting on the appointment, Collis, said; “Evariste’s strong mix of expertise and experience makes him a very valuable addition to the regional team as we continue to help the insurance industry adapt in this ongoing risk-averse and low-yield environment. I am excited to work with Evariste to tackle the new challenges and opportunities in this changing insurance environment.”

Prior to WTW, Yeung was Chief Underwriting Officer (CUO), Consumer Insurance, Personal Accident of AIG Japan Holdings, and before this held a number of actuarial roles at AIG Asia Pacific, AXA Direct Japan, AXA UK, Aon Re Asia and Morgan Stanley Japan.
