W. R. Berkley Corporation has named Lynn Neville as senior vice president for claims.
Nevill is a new hire to the company, having been executive vice president and global head of insurance claims for Sompo International, a firm that she left in November.
She is based in Charlotte, US, and W. R. Berkley said in a statement that her appointment is immediate.
W. Robert Berkley, Jr., president and chief executive officer of W. R. Berkley Corporation, said: “We are extremely pleased to welcome Lynn to Berkley. Her extensive management, claims and legal background will be complementary to our team, and we have no doubt that we will be a better business with her as a part of it.”
According to the firm, Neville’s former duties at Sompo International included all aspects of claims management, administration, and operations.
It also said that she has more than 30 years of experience in the property and casualty insurance industry.
Reports elsewhere suggest that Neville left Sompo International last month in tandem with Chris Adolph, senior property claims executive.
