WTW, an international advisory, insurance broking and risk solutions group, has appointed Kisha Tyrrell to lead its captive and insurance management operations in Bermuda, following her promotion from Head of Underwriting and Claims in the territory.

Tyrrell will be responsible for developing its captive insurance management activities in Bermuda, with particular attention to client engagement, business relationships and its position within the island’s established captive insurance sector.

Tyrrell has accumulated more than 18 years of experience in the insurance industry, covering captive operations, underwriting, risk management, governance and commercial relationships. Her professional background includes over a decade with HSBC Bermuda, where she held several positions before becoming Head of Underwriting.

During her career, Tyrrell has also been involved in captive board activities, including the leadership of underwriting committees and matters relating to regulatory compliance and corporate governance. WTW noted that her experience extends to providing guidance on sophisticated insurance and reinsurance structures.

Peter Carter, Global Head of Captive and Insurance Management Solutions at Willis, commented: “We’re delighted by Kisha’s promotion to lead our Bermuda captives team. Her collaborative, people-focused approach, combined with deep technical expertise and strong commercial judgement, makes her well placed to support our clients’ evolving needs and build on our position in Bermuda’s captives market.”

Tyrrell added: “Building trusted, long-term relationships with clients, colleagues and business partners has been central to my career, and I look forward to leading our team in Bermuda.

“My priority is to continue delivering a consistently high standard of service, building on the experience and expertise of our Bermuda team while encouraging greater collaboration across the wider WTW network. I also want to support the professional development of colleagues and create an environment where people feel valued and empowered.”
