Re/insurance broker Willis Towers Watson (WTW) has announced the appointment of Steve Powney as Surety Practice Leader for Europe and the UK.
Powney was previously Head of International Surety at Crum and Forster and has lead surety operations for Asia, Europe and the Middle East.
His responsibilities include underwriting, production and operational excellence.
In his new role, Powney will report to Scott Hull, Global Head of Surety at Willis Towers Watson.
“We are delighted to have appointed Steve Powney as Surety Practice Leader,” said Powney.
“This is a significant growth area for Willis Towers Watson and today’s appointment will help develop our sales and client management strategy across Europe and the UK.”
