XL Catlin today announced Tim McMahon’s appointment to Global Chief Underwriting Officer for Property.
McMahon begins his new London-based role from May 1st, heading up the firm’s global property insurance solutions.
He is set to work together with XL Catlin’s Global Insurance Underwriting team in sharing management responsibilities for XL Catlin’s global portfolio.

McMahon is a long-serving industry expert with over 20 years’ re/insurance experience.
He began with XL Catlin in 2011, acting as Head of Property, Asia-Pacific in Singapore before being promoted to an Australia-based role as Head of Energy, Property & Construction.
McMahon has worked in various senior leadership roles across domestic and multinational businesses, gaining experience in wholesale, retail and reinsurance over the course of his career.
