XL Catlin names Elie Hanna as Head of central broker management

XL Catlin has appointed Elie Hanna to Head of central broker management, set to lead XL Catlin’s strategic relationships with brokers for the insurance segment.

XL Catlin logoHis responsibilities will include looking at how XL Catlin engages with its key trading partners, setting broker engagement best practices, and working with both distribution and underwriting teams to identify innovative broker distribution methods and channels.

Hanna will report to Philippe Gouraud, Head of Strategic Client and Broker Management, Insurance.

Gourad said; “in this rapidly changing business environment, we want to make sure we have strong analytics and insights that help us more deeply understand what is and is not working in our trading relationships. By leveraging data and technology, we will be better informed and positioned to enhance these relationships, we will also be able to identify and establish new ones.

“I am therefore delighted to welcome Elie to our experienced team. His ability in data and analytics, as well as his underwriting and field experience, will enhance our ability to continually improve our broker relationships around the world.

Hanna joins XL Catlin from AXA, where he worked as Global Head of Mid-Market and Broker Engagement.

Prior to AXA, he worked at AIG for over 10 years in both underwriting and senior distribution roles in London and across the Middle East.
