XS Global, an independently owned managing general underwriting (MGU) platform, has announced the appointment of Daniel Abramson as Head of Construction Underwriting for Asia Pacific, based in Hong Kong.
Abramson brings more than 25 years of insurance industry experience spanning construction and energy underwriting.
Before joining XS Global, he was Head of Construction at Aviva. Throughout his career, he has led and developed large-scale portfolios, including managing AIG’s $300 million+ global construction business, holding roles in New York, Shanghai, Dubai, Singapore, and Bangkok.
He has also held senior leadership positions across multiple regions, including as AIG’s Regional Energy Manager for the Middle East, Mediterranean, and South Asia, overseeing operations in 28 countries.
In addition, Abramson served as Head of Construction at Zurich, playing a key role in building the firm’s construction business across Asia Pacific and the Middle East.
In December 2025, XS Global expanded into the Asia Pacific region with the launch of XS Global Asia Pacific Ltd (XSGAP) in Hong Kong, led by APAC CEO and XS Global Executive Committee member Steven Barnett.
