International reinsurer PartnerRe has announced the appointment of Zino Theokli as Head of Group Retrocession.
Theokli, who has over a decade of industry experience, has been with PartnerRe since 2021, when he joined as a Senior Underwriter.
He joined the company following his four-years tenure at SCOR, where he served as Senior Treaty Underwriter. During this time, he was responsible for managing the UK Property Treaty portfolio and team.
The executive also spent close to four years at Amlin. He joined the company as a Property & Casualty Underwriter before being appointed Corporate Property Underwriter.
Theokli started his re/insurance career with Allianz as a Corporate Management Trainee. He eventually became a Property & Casualty Underwriter following his tenure as a Key Account Developer.
Commenting on the appointment, Marek Garwacki, who was recently appointed Non-Life Chief Underwriting Officer, said: “Zino’s very strong experience across various business areas, paired with his technical expertise, makes him ideally suited to lead our retrocession efforts.
“I’m confident he’ll bring great value and perspective to the team.”
