Zurich North America, a commercial property and casualty insurer, has appointed Nora Hattauer as Head of Financial Lines for its U.S. National Accounts and Middle Market businesses.
Based in Atlanta, Hattauer will oversee the direction, management, and performance of Zurich’s Financial Lines strategic business unit, which provides insurance solutions for Directors & Officers (D&O), Cyber, Financial Institutions, and Private/Nonprofit sectors.
She will report to Paul Lavelle, Head of U.S. National Accounts, and will also have accountability to Alex Wells, Head of Middle Market.
Lavelle expressed his enthusiasm for Hattauer’s appointment, stating, “Nora has a distinguished record of strategic vision and successful execution in Financial Lines.
“I’m pleased to welcome her to this key leadership role on our team at Zurich.”
Hattauer joins Zurich from AIG, where she spent nearly 19 years in various senior positions, most recently as Head of Management Liability for National Accounts, where she successfully grew the Directors & Officers (D&O) portfolio.
Before her long tenure at AIG, she worked in underwriting roles at Chubb and the St. Paul Companies.
