Zurich Singapore, the Singapore arm of Zurich Insurance Group, has announced two senior appointments within its Asia Pacific Commercial Insurance division as the company continues to expand its regional operations and capabilities.
The insurer confirmed that Giles Crowley has been appointed Head of Customer & Distribution Management (CDM), Asia Pacific, while Kin Lee has been promoted to Head of Energy, Asia Pacific. Both roles will be based in Singapore.
According to Zurich Singapore, the appointments are intended to support the company’s long-term growth plans across the Asia Pacific market.
In his new role, Crowley will oversee Zurich Singapore’s Customer & Distribution Management function throughout the region. The company said his responsibilities will include supporting growth across distribution channels and customer segments, maintaining a consistent market strategy, strengthening relationships with brokers and improving customer engagement initiatives.
Lee will be responsible for leading the underwriting strategy for the company’s regional Energy portfolio. His role will involve working alongside local market teams to further develop underwriting expertise, strengthen distribution partnerships, improve portfolio management practices and expand product capabilities in response to market requirements.

Crowley has spent three decades with the company, holding a range of technical, distribution and leadership positions across different international markets. Most recently, he served as Head of Commercial Markets, General Insurance, Australia & New Zealand, where he helped strengthen broker engagement, support profitable business growth and enhance distribution and deal management capabilities.
Lee joined Zurich in 2023 and currently serves as Head of Onshore Energy, Singapore. Before joining Zurich, he held senior underwriting roles covering Energy, Property and Construction across Asia and Australia/New Zealand. He started his professional career as a civil engineer.
