AGCS appoints Chris Terry to global product lead for structured insurance in ART

Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS) has appointed Chris Terry to be its new global product lead for structured insurance in alternative risk transfer (ART).

new-allianz-logoIn his new role, Terry will focus on further developing the ART underwriting strategy and driving a globally consistent approach for structured insurance, while streamlining systems and processes to enable the planned scaling of the business. He will continue to work closely with AGCS’ global head of art Grant Maxwell and his team.

It was in July 2020 that Maxwell was appointed to his role in leading the ART team.

According to his LinkedIn profile, Terry began his career with Orbis Capital in 2007, staying there for a year before moving to Allianz Risk Transfer in 2008. After being there for fourteen years, he moved to AGCS in November to take up his new role. He is based in London.

It was only a few weeks ago that AGCS announced that it was looking to expand its ART team in order to target captive and structured solutions.

It said at the time that dedicated investments include growing the current 90-strong ART team by 20 new positions to strengthen ART delivery across all areas from modelling and underwriting to legal expertise and claims.
