Ageas Group’s reinsurance brand, Ageas Re has announced it is growing its team as it welcomes a number of new hires all over the world.
Joining the company from Axis Re, Wolfgang Amiras has been named Senior Underwriting Manager, a Zurich-based role.
Amiras will cover Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the Nordics and CEE countries with a primary focus on property and engineering. He will be working with the lead underwriter for the region, Anne Deister.
Based in Brussels, Cristina Di Lena is joining Ageas Re from SiriusPoint as Senior Underwriter. She will be covering Italy and Mediterranean countries, with a primary focus on property.
Also joining from SiriusPoint is Gilles Marchal, who has been appointed Property Senior Underwriter covering Latin America and Iberia, alongside Vincent Rensonnet – who has recently been appointed Lead Underwriter.
SiriusPoint’s Colaris Sebastien has been appointed Property Underwriter, covering the English speaking countries and international retro in the team of Jeremy Walker, Chief Underwriter Officer.
Antoine Baijot has also joined Ageas Re as lead pricing actuary in the company’s Brussels office. He will be responsible for technical underwriting, property tooling, accumulation control and PML management.
“We have some further colleagues that I warmly welcome to the team: Jacqueline Vray will reinforce our operations team, Rosa Fraterrigo joins the team as Underwriting Assistant, Stephanie Bleys will be working in Antoine’s team and focus on risk and CAT modelling,” Joachim Racz, Group Director of Ageas Re added.
