AI12 Limited, a specialist insurance and reinsurance broker headquartered in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), has appointed Jamie Eaton as Head of Financial Lines.
The appointment follows the firm’s recent establishment in the DIFC and its authorisation by the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA). It forms part of AI12’s longer-term objective to expand its specialty platform and strengthen its international positioning.
Eaton will head the Financial Lines Specialty Practice, with responsibility for shaping and expanding the firm’s Financial and Cyber lines offering.
In addition, he will contribute to AI12’s engagement with insurers and clients, supporting the continued strengthening of its specialty presence in the UAE and selected international markets. He will report to senior leadership as part of the firm’s ongoing development of its specialty platform.
AI12 has developed a market position in aviation and complex risk placements. With its DIFC operations now established, the firm is advancing the expansion of its broader specialty capabilities, including the appointment of senior professionals, enhancement of technical expertise, and further development of international market relationships to assist clients addressing increasingly complex regulatory, economic, and technology-driven risks.
Eaton has nearly two decades of experience in the insurance sector across both the London market and the Middle East. He joins AI12 after holding senior positions at Howden Insurance Brokers and JLT Group, where he supported the growth and oversight of Financial Lines portfolios in the region.
Before relocating to the UAE, he spent ten years in the London and Lloyd’s market, most recently as head of Bluefin’s London Financial Lines practice within AXA Group. In that role, he advised on management liability and professional lines placements. Following his move to the UAE, he was appointed Head of Financial Lines and Portfolio Management for TMEA at JLT Group, where he worked on regional facilities, portfolio strategy, and client engagement across a broad range of Financial Lines products.
At AI12, Eaton’s responsibilities include establishing a specialist Financial Lines function focused on delivering structured, client-specific solutions supported by senior-level oversight and technical expertise.
Anvar Mullabekov, Founder and CEO of AI12 Limited, said: “Jamie’s appointment is a clear continuation of our strategy following our DIFC establishment and DFSA authorisation. We are building AI12 into a Specialist brokerage platform with depth across multiple lines of business, where technical excellence, agility, and global market access are non-negotiable.
“Financial Lines is a key pillar of our specialty growth strategy, and Jamie brings the credibility, leadership, and expertise to scale this capability in a way that is both commercially ambitious and technically disciplined.”
Eaton commented: “AI12 is building something deliberately different in the market, an expert-led, specialty practice designed to be agile, technically strong, and client-close. Financial Lines is increasingly shaped by economic conditions, regulation, and technology-driven exposures.
“That dynamic demands a brokerage approach that goes beyond placement and focuses on future risk-proofing, understanding how a client’s risk profile is changing and structuring solutions that stand up under scrutiny. Dubai and the wider UAE market are growing at pace, and the timing is right to build a boutique Financial Lines proposition that is genuinely differentiated, especially in Cyber, which is now one of the most strategically important entry points for board-level risk conversations.”
Richard Prenter, Chief Operating Officer of AI12 Limited, added: “Jamie’s appointment is another important step as we continue to build AI12’s specialty practice in the DIFC and scale our capabilities across complex risk classes. Financial Lines and Cyber are increasingly board-level priorities, shaped by rapidly evolving regulation, technology exposure, and economic volatility.
“Jamie brings the market credibility, technical depth, and insurer connectivity required to deliver the strategic,
client-close outcomes we are focused on.”
