American International Group, Inc. (AIG), a US-based insurance company operating internationally across general insurance and risk solutions, has announced the appointment of Christine Williams as Head of Global Client and Broker Relationships, effective 1 September 2026.
Williams will report to Jon Hancock, Executive Vice President and Chief Executive Officer of General Insurance at AIG, and will be based in New York.
In this newly created position at AIG, Williams will oversee the organisation’s global relationships with major clients and distribution partners, coordinating across AIG’s businesses to provide its capabilities, technical expertise and insurance solutions. Her responsibilities will also support the delivery of value to clients while contributing to strategic growth across its insurance operations.

Williams joins AIG from Aon, a global professional services firm specialising in risk, retirement and health solutions. At Aon, she most recently served as Co-Head of Aon US and was a member of its Executive Committee.
During her more than 20-year career at Aon, she held senior leadership roles across the United States and internationally, with responsibility for driving growth and delivering client-focused insights and integrated solutions, as noted by the company.
