Insurance broker and risk advisor Marsh has appointed Alexander Pui as Senior Vice President, Climate and Sustainability Consulting, for Marsh Asia.
A renowned figure within the sector, Pui was named the Risk Leader of the Year by the Risk Management Institute of Australia in 2022 .
In addition, he founded the global climate risk solutions service with a major reinsurer and led the climate scenario analytics practice for a major Australian bank.
Moreover, he is currently the Adjunct Fellow at the Climate Change Research Center (CCRC) at the University of New South Wales.
Throughout his career he has worked for a number of major firms.
Between 2013-2014, he worked at IAG, where he served as a Catastrophe Analyst.
After his stint at IAG, Pui served as a Senior Risk Analyst at Willis Re.
Moving forward, Pui would wind up working at Swiss Re for over five years across Singapore. Throughout his time at the reinsurance giant, he held a number of different roles, including: Property Underwriter, Natural Catastrophe Risk Manager (APAC), and Head Nat Cat and Sustainability (APAC).
Prior to joining Marsh Asia, Pui worked at Commonwealth Bank, where he served as Executive Manager, Climate Scenario Analytics.
