Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS) has announced that Anthony “Sandy” Codding, Jr. will join the AGCS Financial Lines team as Regional Head of Strategy & Portfolio Steering, North America.
Codding will be based in Boston and will report to Joe Caruso, North America Regional Head of Financial Lines.
He takes over the role, vacated by Katie Fioretti, who was named as Global Head of Management Liability Commercial (MLC), CUOC Financial Lines earlier this March.
Within this new role, Codding will implement portfolio management practices across Financial Lines products to identify areas for growth, develop performance and portfolio analyses on products, and also advise on optimization of portfolio mix and profitability.
He joins AGCS from Swiss Re Corporate Solutions, where he most recently served as Bespoke Cyber & Technology Underwriting Unit Global Head, Senior Vice President.
In addition, Codding has previously held various management positions at Marsh USA, Quanta US Holdings, CNA and AIG.
Addressing Codding’s appointment, Caruso, said: “Sandy is a most welcome addition to the AGCS North America team, as he brings proven skills and deep experience in profitably building a business and executing business steering, strategies and budgets. He is quite adept at designing underwriting methodologies, developing products and optimizing client service.”
Moreover, AGCS recently announced that it had appointed a new regional head of claims for regional unit London and Nordics, as well as other key leadership changes within the company.
