Allianz, a leading global insurance company, has announced the appointment of Nick Hobbs as the Chief Distribution Officer for Allianz Commercial in the UK.
In this newly created role, Hobbs will oversee all aspects of distribution for the integrated Allianz Commercial operations across the UK.
The appointment, subject to regulatory approval, is effective immediately.
The integration of Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS) UK, catering to large clients, and Allianz Holdings UK’s commercial business under one unified strategy and approach aims to streamline client and distribution partner experiences.
As the Chief Distribution Officer, Hobbs will play a central role in delivering this vision. With over 30 years of industry experience, Hobbs brings a wealth of expertise to his new position.
Hobbs has been a part of the Allianz group since 2001, having held various roles at AGCS in the UK, Europe, and North America.
He joined Allianz UK in 2011 as the Head of Strategic Account Management and subsequently served as the Director of Broker Markets.
In July 2021, he was appointed as the Chief Distribution and Regions Officer for Allianz Holdings’ commercial business in the UK.
