Canopius Group, a global specialty and property & casualty re/insurer, has appointed Louise Wai as Head of Property D&F, Asia Pacific (APAC), Richard Adamczyk as Senior Claims Manager, Australia and New Zealand (ANZ), and Jack Hullah as Head of Credit and Political Risk, APAC.
The appointments reflect Canopius’ long-term strategy to expand its specialty underwriting and claims capabilities across the APAC region.
Together, the three senior leaders will help deepen broker and client relationships, support profitable growth, and reinforce the reinsurer’s reputation for technical expertise, responsive service and claims excellence across the region.
Wai’s appointment is effective 1 November, and is based in Singapore. Most recently, she served at Helvetia Swiss Insurance Company Ltd (Singapore Branch) as Underwriting Manager, Engineering and Property Solutions, Asia.
She has over 25 years of regional experience, and is widely recognised for building profitable portfolios, developing strong market relationships, and driving underwriting excellence.
Adamczyk’s appointment is effective on 28 September and will be based in Melbourne. Most recently, he served at the Legal Practitioners’ Liability Committee as Head of Claims. Before that, he spent 15 years with AIG, most recently as Head of Financial Lines Claims, Pacific.
Adamczyk has extensive experience across the legal and insurance sectors, and will play a key role in advancing Canopius’ claims capability and support brokers, coverholders and insureds across ANZ and the wider APAC region.
Lastly, Hullah is also based in Singapore, and joins Canopius on 10 November. Most recently, he served at AXA XL as Regional Product Lead for Asia Credit & Political Risk.
Hullah has over 15 years of experience spanning credit strategy and trading, political risk and credit insurance, structured finance and regional business development, with a strong track record of leading teams and delivering profitable growth across international markets.
