Allianz Türkiye, a multi-line insurer operating in Türkiye and part of Allianz Group, has selected the Nettle AI platform to support its commercial property risk engineering operations following a pilot programme conducted by its internal teams.
According to Allianz Türkiye, the pilot indicated that property inspections carried out by its risk engineering team could be completed up to three times faster, with structured outputs made available to underwriting teams more quickly than through previous processes.
The company stated that the adoption is intended to improve coordination between field inspection work and downstream reporting in commercial property insurance workflows.
In some cases, Allianz Türkiye noted that inspections could be completed in the field before related reporting processes were finalised, which can contribute to delays in underwriting review.
The Nettle mobile application, which operates in Turkish, is used by risk engineers to support inspection preparation and to record information during site visits. Data can be captured in the form of photographs, documents, and audio notes. The platform then processes this information and generates structured inspection reports, risk assessments, and underwriting guidance, which are delivered on the same day as the inspection, according to the companies involved.
Allianz Türkiye’s risk engineering operations are led by Ceyhun Eren and cover a portfolio of commercial properties with varying asset types and risk characteristics. The company has stated that the platform will be implemented across its wider risk engineering function, with the aim of providing same-day structured inspection outputs to underwriting teams.
Allianz Türkiye also references its established work in risk prevention and assessment in Türkiye. Through its subsidiary Allianz Teknik, the company operates an accredited earthquake and fire testing and training centre in the country.
The deployment of the Nettle platform is positioned by Allianz Türkiye as part of ongoing development of its commercial risk assessment processes, covering stages from initial submission through field inspection and underwriting review.
“When I first saw what was possible, my reaction was wow. Nettle is genuinely shaping the future of risk engineering. This is the future for the whole sector, not just Allianz Türkiye,” said Dr. Ceyhun Eren, Director of Allianz Teknik & Risk Engineering, Allianz Türkiye.
“Allianz Türkiye does not just adopt innovation, they build it. Their establishment of Allianz Teknik, Türkiye’s first and only accredited earthquake and fire test and training centre, shows what it means to lead on risk prevention rather than follow. That spirit is exactly why this partnership has been so significant. Ceyhun and his team came to this with the expertise and the conviction to shape what AI-powered risk engineering should look like, at precisely the moment the industry needed someone to go first,” added Jack Miller, CEO and Co-Founder, Nettle.
