European boutique Managing General Agent (MGA) Alta Signa has expanded its cyber team with the addition of Mauro Marongiu as Technical Head of Cyber Underwriting
Marongiu will be responsible for managing cyber business in Italy, and the wider European large and middle market.
He brings significant technical expertise, having previously worked as a Cyber Security Underwriter for Satec, with prior experience coming as an IT Security Specialist, Analyst and Consultant at companies such as UniCredit Services, Hewlett Packard Enterprise and Capgemini.
“I’m very excited to have joined the fast-growing Alta Signa team. Our mission is to offer non-standard solutions in the cyber insurance market in Italy and the rest of Europe,” said Marongiu.
“The dynamics of the cyber market have changed significantly in recent years as a result of the global Covid-19 pandemic and changing working environments. This is heavily dominated by a shifting focus towards ransomware-related vulnerabilities which present an increased challenge for the underwriting community moving forward,” he continued.
