Ambac Financial Group (Ambac) has partnered with former Core Specialty Senior Vice President Peter McKeegan to launch a new program administrator, Tara Hill Insurance Services.
McKeegan will serve as Tara Hill’s Chief Executive Officer, reporting directly to Naveen Anand, President of Cirrata Group, Ambac’s distribution division.
As part of the Cirrata Group, Tara Hill will develop an Excess & Surplus (E&S) portfolio focusing on private Management Liability and Miscellaneous Professional Liability coverages for small to medium-sized risks. Tara Hill’s E&S products will be distributed exclusively through wholesale brokers.
Anand commented, “Peter McKeegan has a stellar reputation and a top-notch track record in this space.”
He added, “We are excited to support him and to leverage Cirrata’s infrastructure and expertise as he builds Tara Hill into a specialty program administrator.”
Since beginning his career in 1985 at AIG as Senior Vice President, McKeegan has held various leadership roles at reputable firms, including Hallmark Financial, American Safety, Ironshore, AIG, and Arch Insurance.
McKeegan stated, “Tara Hill is the culmination of decades of underwriting experience.”
