Specialist marine managing general agent (MGA), Amphitrite Underwriting London, has hired David Harris as Non-Executive Chair, effective from January 1, 2024, subject to regulatory approval.
Harris is a renowned veteran across the insurance industry, having previously held senior roles at major firms such as AXA, RSA, Amlin, and Argo.
His expertise also spans across a wide range of key leadership positions including chief operating officer, chief human resources officer and managing director.
In addition, Harris has also previously served a non-executive director on the Lloyd’s Market Association board.
He also previously served as a member of the Council of the Chartered Insurance of Institute, which gave him an extensive insight into a range of market issues.
