AmTrust Financial Services, Inc, has announced that Michael Tripp has joined the firm as Regional Vice President, Head of MidAmerica Region.
Tripp joins AmTrust from global insurer Chubb, where he spent the last four years serving in a national leadership position as VP, Small Business Sales. Prior to that role, he led Chubb’s Southwest Region as Small Commercial RVP, where he was based in Texas.
Before he joined Chubb, Tripp worked at The Hanover where he held the role of Branch VP of Arkansas and Oklahoma and, later went on to serve as Regional VP of Missouri, Kansas and Arkansas.
Tripp began his career at The Hartford as an underwriter. Over the course of nine years, he would go on to assume greater responsibilities across the Midwest and South-Central part of the country in underwriting, then sales and ultimately in executive leadership as Assistant Regional VP of the firm’s Chicago Regional Office.
Addressing his new role, Tripp said: “I am pleased to be joining a team that is dedicated to meeting the needs of small businesses in MidAmerica, which has been the focus of my career in sales, underwriting and executive leadership. AmTrust recently made some new additions to its Commercial Lines team, as the firm appointed Ken Surian as Senior VP, Product Management, and Brian White as VP, Product Strategy.
