Aioi Nissay Dowa Europe (AND-E), a provider of mobility insurance, has appointed Phil Norris to the newly created role of Chief Product Innovation Officer.
Norris, who has been with AND-E for nearly 20 years, will report to Michael Kainzbauer, Group CEO.
In his new role, Norris will take on responsibility in steering the company’s product strategy as the mobility marketplace continues to evolve.
Throughout the last few years, AND-E has been preparing itself for the future, by investigating new market opportunities through acquisition, collaboration, and in-house development.
Some of these opportunities have included the acquisition of insurethebox, the partnership and investment with Oxa, and the recent creation of the Aioi R&D Lab – Oxford in collaboration with machine learning experts, Mind Foundry.
However, as the mobility marketplace continues to push forwards, through advances in new drivetrains, the role of adaptable and innovative protection solutions is becoming increasingly important.
According to AND-E, Norris’ new role is designed to ensure that the company is able to capitalize on the opportunities that the future brings for the business.
The company explained that both Norris and his team will ensure that every new product and service fits AND-E’s business strategy and vision to lead the way in connected mobility protection.
“The mobility market is entering an exciting phase and AND-E has a strong track record to deliver protection solutions that are fit for purpose,” explained Norris.
He continued: “My new role will bring together commercial, market and future insight from both within and outside the business to identify, develop and deliver the right products to meet the ever-changing market needs.”
