Sompo, a global provider of commercial and consumer property and casualty (P&C) re/insurance, has announced new appointments within its SompoRe team, with Andrew Tudor-Thomas and Chris Coulson taking on key roles.
Andrew Tudor-Thomas has been appointed Executive Vice President (EVP), Head of North America P&C Reinsurance.
Bringing over 20 years of industry experience, Tudor-Thomas joins Sompo from Validus Reinsurance, where he spent nearly 12 years, most recently as EVP.
Previously, he served as a Treaty Underwriter at Beazley and worked as a Treaty Broker at Guy Carpenter.
Chris Coulson has been promoted to Senior Vice President (SVP), Head of International Property and Catastrophe.
Since joining Sompo in 2015 as a Senior Property Catastrophe Underwriter, Coulson has held various leadership roles, most recently serving as SVP, Head of Europe Property and Catastrophe.
Prior to Sompo, he worked as a Property Catastrophe Underwriter at Endurance, Zurich.
