Aon has named Danny Alexander as its new Head of Life Reinsurance broking for Australia and New Zealand, as the firm looks to strengthen its reinsurance offering in the region.
Alexander was most recently working at reinsurer SCOR in Sydney, Australia where he was Head of Client Solutions focused on the life reinsurance business.
Previously, Alexander had worked at leading reinsurers Swiss Re and Munich Re, both in Sydney as well.
A qualified actuary, Alexander has been hired to support and enhance the delivery of Aon’s life insurance and reinsurance solutions in region.
Head of Broking, Aon Reinsurance Solutions in Australia John Carroll highlighted the need for Aon to continue investing in the life practice as it looks to scale up its operations in the region.
Carroll further explained, “Danny’s appointment will build upon our existing leading expertise in the business and position our offering to help clients achieve the most effective balance sheet management through a bespoke blend of reinsurance solutions, risk mitigation and capital optimization.”
