Re/insurance broker Aon has expanded its EMEA M&A and Transaction Solutions practice with the addition of several senior appointments.
Firstly, Adrian Lamasz has been appointed as Head of Regional M&A and Mid-Market, UK to lead mid-market Private Equity and Corporate M&A across the UK regional market.
He joins from Marsh JLT, where he served as UK Midlands Practice Leader, and will report to Alistair Lester, CEO of M&A and Transaction Solutions in EMEA.
Second, Andrea Foti will become Aon’s new Head of M&A Southern Europe, joining from EY’s Corporate Finance team in Milan.
He will also report to Lester and will work closely with Aon’s M&A leader in Italy, Vincenzo Aliotta and Aon’s M&A leader in Spain and Portugal, Lucas Lopez Vazquez.
Next, Benoit Geurts has been appointed Managing Director, EMEA, Aon Intellectual Property Solutions, and will be tasked with leading M&A interactions for Intellectual Property Solutions across the EMEA region as well as for Northern Europe/ Nordics.
He will report to Lester and to Christian Gordon-Pullar, Head of Intellectual Property Solutions in EMEA.
Benoit brings 20 years of experience to the team, having previously served as a Managing Consultant at PA Consulting in the Global Innovation and Technology Centre in Cambridge, where he led its intellectual property strategy services and contributed to the development of its 5G service offering.
Lars Forsstedt has been appointed Co-Head of Aon’s Transaction Solutions team in the Nordics, joining from Willis Towers Watson where he held a position as Practice Leader, Private Equity.
Forsstedt will lead Aon’s Nordic Transaction Solutions team in collaboration with Lisa Dybeck, who has also beened hired as Co-Head of Aon’s Transaction Solutions team in the Nordics.
She joins from Marsh JLT Specialty where she held a position as Vice President within the Private Equity and M&A practice.
Additionally, Matthias Luettges has been appointed as Head of M&A and Transaction Solutions, Germany, arriving from Marsh Private Equity & Mergers and Acquisitions where he was Head of Transactional Risk, Germany.
Luettges will report to Ulf Cramer and will work closely with the Aon Germany leadership team.
And finally, Ulf Cramer has been appointed to Head of M&A and Transaction Solutions DACH, reporting to Lester.
Ulf joins from AIG Trade Finance where he headed up the business’s Northern Europe division.
