Global insurance and reinsurance broker Aon has announced that Tom Fitzgerald, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Aon Broking, is to leave the company after 27 years of global service.
Prior to his role as CEO of Aon Broking, Fitzgerald led the U.S. Commercial Risk and Health operations. Aon has said that he will transition his responsibilities immediately, and that the firm will not look to replace his role.
Aon CEO, Greg Case said: “Tom is a global thinker with a proven track record of industry-leading innovation. The firm recognizes his many years of service and wishes him well as he begins the next chapter of his career.”
Aon states that throughout his extensive career with the broker, he has consistently driven innovation for clients and delivered exceptional financial results.
Fitzgerald commented on his departure: “It has been an absolute privilege to serve Aon for over 27 years. I began my professional career at Aon and the firm has left an indelible mark on me. I’m grateful for the partnership from colleagues and clients around the world, and energized by the idea of starting the next chapter of my career.”
