Aon has appointed a new chief strategy officer capital advisory in Jim Fiore.
The move was announced on LinkedIn by Fiore. His previous role was as chief reinsurance officer at QBE Insurance Group.
Fiore joins Aon after almost three decades with QBE where he held numerous roles during his tenure, including as President of Blue Ocean and Equator Re.
He brings extensive industry experience to the company, and was integral to the issuance of QBE’s first catastrophe bond, VenTerra Re Ltd. 2013-1, which Aon worked on.
Prior to QBE, Fiore spent more than three years at English & American as a Vice President.
Earlier in his career, he spent more than six years with US International Reinsurance (formerly Home Reinsurance) as a Senior Underwriter.
Aon launched its Capital Advisory unit back in 2018 to focus on assisting its clients with better managing capital through risk transfer solutions.
