Aon invests in Global Reinsurance Clients unit, adds executive team

Global insurance and reinsurance broker Aon has announced a number of organisational changes within its Global Reinsurance Clients team, which launched in 2014 and forms part of its Reinsurance Solutions operation.

Aon logoCurrently, Aon’s Global Reinsurance Clients team supports 25 large, global insurance companies, providing firms with a service to accelerate their growth, profitability, and also to support operational stability.

Since its inception, the team has been co-led by Brad Melvin and Bruce Selby Bennett. Aon has announced that effective immediately, Melvin has been appointed to a leadership role within Aon where he will work closely with regional property and casualty (P&C) insurers on growth, profitability, and other emerging issues.

In his new role, Melvin will continue to work closely with the Reinsurance Solutions team, as well as his existing reinsurance clients and prospects. Melvin will report to Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Aon Inpoint, Michael Moran and Andy Marcell, CEO of the broker’s Reinsurance Solutions unit.

Bennett will remain the leader of Aon’s Global Reinsurance Clients team and has been promoted to Chairman of the division’s new executive team, reporting to Marcell.

Aon states that the new executive team has been created to lead coordinated client strategies across the company, ensuring alignment and integration across Aon’s teams and regions.

The new executive team is comprised of James Buchannan, Jeremy Goodman, Frank Hand, Andrew Laing, Andrew Secker, and Meredith Swisha.

Furthermore, Aon notes that Paul Martin will continue to serve as Operations Director of the Global Reinsurance Clients team.
