Global re/insurance broker Aon has announced the appointment of John McElroy to the Bermuda operations of Reinsurance Solutions, as Head of Casualty, subject to immigration approval.
In his new role, McElroy will report to Tony Fox, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Bermuda, Reinsurance Solutions.
He brings almost three decades of industry experience to the role, having previously held numerous roles at Allied World Assurance Company, most recently as Executive Vice President, Global Insurance.
Earlier in his career, he served at Gulf Insurance Company as Senior Vice President and Head of its Management Liability Department.
Fox commented: “John brings with him an impressive amount of experience in the casualty sector, and we believe this will be important in helping our clients to navigate the evolving exposures in this area.”
