“Alan has demonstrated his visionary leadership as chairman and CEO of Travelers. He was a great partner in all the merger negotiations that created APCIA and will bring his passion for thought leadership to his role as an APCIA officer. APCIA members will benefit greatly from having Greg and Alan at the helm.”

Sampson added, “The insurance industry plays a critical role for policyholders and the economy, and that has only become more pronounced over the past year.

“As the current challenges persist into 2021, we will continue to work on behalf of the industry at the federal, state, and judicial levels. With the expertise and guidance of our new officers, we will further the industry’s efforts to provide financial security to families, communities, and businesses while participating in the important dialogue to move toward a more inclusive society.”
