Independent re/insurer Apollo Group Holdings Ltd, has appointed Sian Hill as independent non-executive director of Apollo’s managing agency board.
A chartered accountant with extensive experience of the banking and insurance sectors Hill has spent the majority of her career at KPMG, becoming a tax partner in 1996, specialising in the financial services sector.
Hill has also held a number of leadership positions within KPMG and was Head of KPMG’s UK Financial Services Tax group from 1999 to 2003 and again from 2008 to 2010, as well as Head of KPMG’s UK M&A Tax group and co-head of M&A Tax for Europe from 2003 to 2006.
In recent years Hill focused on the insurance market, working with a wide range of international insurance and reinsurance groups, intermediaries and Lloyd’s market participants.
She also has been a non-executive director of Yealand Fund Services Limited for over three years, as well as of Suffolk Building Society for over two years and of Cordiant Digital Infrastructure Limited.
Hill is also a Trustee, Chair of Finance & Audit Committee, Member of People & Culture, of Place2Be, a leading UK children’s mental health charity.
