Argenta Holdings Ltd, a subsidiary of Hannover Re, has hired Niranjan Nathan as group chief risk officer, subject to regulatory approvals.
He assumes the role from Carol-Ann Burton, who will continue to serve as group general counsel and compliance director.
In his new role, Nathan will be based in London, where he will report to Nick Moore, CEO of Argenta Holdings Limited and managing director of Argenta Syndicate Management Limited (ASML).
In addition to taking on this new role, Nathan will also be joining the board of ASML.
As group chief risk officer, Nathan will lead Argenta’s risk team and oversee the actuarial function.
Overall, Nathan brings more than two decades of industry expertise towards the role.
He joins the firm from EY where he was a partner and the UK non-life actuarial practice leader.
Prior to EY, he spent more than a decade at reinsurance giant Swiss Re, where he gained valuable experience by serving in a number of different roles, including, head of actuarial pricing UK, director group corporate strategy and development, before later going on to become chief risk officer of Swiss Re Corporate Solutions.
