Armour’s Steve Ryland named CEO of Catalina UK

Catalina Holdings (Bermuda) Ltd has announced the appointment of Steve Ryland as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Catalina UK as the division continues to bolster its international management team.

Steve RylandRyland brings more than three decades of insurance and reinsurance industry experience to the role, joining from Armour where he was a member of the Executive Management Committee and played a key role in the development of the company’s business from its launch.

Prior to Armour, he was an Executive Director with PRO Insurance Solutions Limited, the former service entity of reinsurance giant Swiss Re.

In his new role as CEO of Catalina UK, Ryland will have oversight of the company’s UK operations, helping to drive all aspects of its strategy, which includes the integration of Catalina’s substantial UK Employers Liability books of business, driving operational efficiencies, both identifying and executing on market consolidation opportunities, and levering the firm’s global platform.

Subject to regulatory approval, Ryland will join the firm in January 2020.
