Global insurance brokerage, Arthur J. Gallagher & Co., has announced the acquisition of Michigan-based Meadowbrook Insurance Agency. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Meadowbrook Insurance Agency is a retail insurance broker offering a comprehensive range of property/casualty and group benefits services to clients throughout Michigan and in Florida.
As part of the transaction Gallagher will acquire affiliated companies The Protection Center, also based in Michigan.

Sean Gallagher, head of Gallagher’s Great Lakes region retail property/casualty brokerage operations, will lead the broker’s team alongside om Lannen, head of Gallagher’s Midwest region employee benefits consulting operations.
Meadowbrook Insurance Agency has been Gallagher’s latest acquisition. Back in September the firm announced the acquisition of California-based Hartley Cylke Pacific Insurance Services and Ace, a specialist insurance broker serving the trucking industry primarily in Southern California.
