Global specialty insurance and reinsurance underwriter, Ascot Underwriting, has announced three new underwriters to head up its Bermuda-based healthcare team.
Ian Thompson, Nick Williamson, and Justin Keith will join Ascot’s Bermuda-based office on March 1st from Hiscox Re to underwrite Healthcare, Casualty Treaty, and Specialty Reinsurance business.
Andrew Brooks, Chief Executive Officer of Ascot Underwriting welcomed the new business underwriters to the team; “I am delighted to welcome Ian, Nick, and Justin to Ascot. Their extensive experience in Healthcare insurance will enable Ascot to offer our clients valuable expertise in this class of business.”
Thompson, who brings 22 years of insurance experience and has been working as Global Healthcare Practice Leader for Hiscox Group and Head of Casualty for Hiscox Re, said; “The team is very excited to be joining Ascot, where we will look to develop innovative and high quality products for clients and brokers that know us well.”
Williamson has acted as Vice President Healthcare for speciality re/insurance Hiscox Re, he has 20 years insurance experience and first started working within the industry as an Actuarial Analyst.
Keith has 18 years of insurance experience, he began his career underwriting Hospital Professional Liability before moving to Healthcare and has been working for Hiscox Re in Bermuda as Vice President Underwriting.
The appointments are subject to regulatory and immigration approval.
