Aspida Holdings, Ltd., a provider of retirement and reinsurance solutions, has named Alex Seidita as its new Chief Information Officer (CIO), taking over from Joe Lurie, who has served as the firm’s CIO since its inception and is to retire at the end of 2023.
Seidita takes on oversight of Aspida’s digital platform architecture and development, infrastructure, application development, data analytics, and IT services, among other initiatives.

Seidita and Lurie will work closely together over the next few months to ensure a smooth transition before Lurie’s retirement.
Seidita is an industry veteran and has 30 years in the IT industry in leadership and strategic development of IT systems.

Previously, Seidita worked at MetLife where he held several senior leadership roles as a Senior Vice President, including Data Operations and Shared Services for the Global Data & Analytics group; CIO, Latin America IT; and Global Chief Technology Architect.
Seidita has previously held roles in software engineering, consulting, and technical leadership throughout his career.
