Assurex Global, a privately owned commercial insurance, risk management and employee benefits brokerage group, has announced the appointment of Troy Johnson as Senior Vice President, Global Growth Strategy.

The company stated that the role will centre on strengthening multinational revenue streams and assisting Partner Firms in broadening their international reach.

Johnson joined the organisation in 2023 to lead the development of multinational practice groups across North America and Europe.

The company indicated that his new position places greater emphasis on delivering tangible business growth, including bringing together experienced specialists to form teams aimed at supporting multinational clients.

According to Assurex Global, its partnership comprises more than 100 independent firms operating from 730 offices across six continents, with over 30,700 professionals worldwide. The company said Johnson’s leadership will draw on this global network to support further expansion in international markets.

“As our Partner Firms rapidly scale their capabilities worldwide, Troy brings the visionary leadership necessary to navigate complex international markets,” commented Dean Hildebrandt, President and Chief Executive Officer of Assurex Global.

“He has already built a strong foundation for cross-border business development. This strategic promotion empowers Troy to accelerate global revenue growth, unlocking unprecedented opportunities for our Partnership and ensuring our clients receive world-class support anywhere they operate.”

Johnson has more than 25 years’ experience in risk and insurance brokerage. Prior to joining the company, he held the role of Regional Sales Director at Towergate Insurance Brokers and Development Director at Griffiths & Armour. Assurex Global added that his earlier career includes positions with Jardine Lloyd Thompson, PruHealth and AXA Insurance.
