Aston Lark, the chartered insurance broker backed by Goldman Sachs, has announced the appointment of Robert Beere as Director of its Lloyd’s business, Incepta.
Beere joins Aston Lark from JLT/Marsh, where he has spent the past 15 years of his career, most recently as Regional Director for London Market Risks.
In total, he has 23 years’ market experience, including four years as a property insurance broker for Aon.
Acquired by the Aston Lark Group in August 2020, Incepta is a Lloyd’s wholesale broker that specialises in providing property, casualty and professional indemnity solutions in the London Market to regional brokers.
Current Incepta Directors Paul Smith and Clive Gilbert will be exiting the business in the summer.
Beere will therefore be joining James Hancock and will be tasked with driving the group’s London Market property and casualty business forward.
“We are excited for Rob to be joining the Incepta team in November,” said Stuart Rootham, Aston Lark Group Managing Director. “As part of our overall growth vision, Aston Lark has significant ambitions for our London Market capability.”
“It’s an important pillar of our offering and we will continue to hire experienced talent and seek further acquisitions to build on the expertise and strength already provided by Incepta, Brunel Professions and Protean Risks.”
Beere added: “I’m delighted to be joining the Incepta team and wider Aston Lark Group. After a long and successful career with Jardine Lloyd Thompson and subsequently Marsh, I’m excited to now be taking on a new challenge, helping Aston Lark deliver on their bold London Market ambitions.”
